What could a year dedicated to developing yourself as a servant leader, focusing on your spiritual growth, and exploring true relationships with others mean for you? Johnson Service Corps could help you out.
JSC is a diverse, ecumenical community of young adults ages 21 to 28 dedicated to service and social justice in Chapel Hill and Durham. Corps Members live in intentional community, serve 32-hours per week with a local nonprofit, and commit to a year of faith formation, spiritual discernment, and leadership development. Housing, a shared food budget, and a monthly personal stipend are provided as is health insurance for those who need it.
While JSC is an affiliate of the Episcopal Service Corps, young people of all faiths are welcome. The application for the upcoming service year, which begins in mid-August, 2019 and ends in late July, 2020, is available here. Along with JSC, interested young people can also apply to other Episcopal Service Corps affiliates around the country through the same link.
