Hello everyone!
I last wrote my blog post in October. Wow, time has flown. April has been a good month. We have had many things going on such as starting the Praxis project amongst all the other Friday formation stuff and work. We are definitely being kept busy!
As our year starts to wrap up, everyone is spending time discerning what is next. I spent much time discerning and decided to attend seminary and begin the ordination process in the Presbyterian Church of U.S.A (PCUSA). I applied to Princeton Theological Seminary, Columbia Theological Seminary and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I got accepted to all three and after visits to each and more discerning I officially committed to Columbia Theological Seminary! They want me on campus by August 26th so I am very much looking forward to two months of time with family and rest. Then, I will begin this new chapter and I’m so excited for what lies ahead. It’s a journey that I’m ready to begin!
I am very grateful to have had two very impactful service years that have helped open up my world while also spending time discerning about my life and the kind of impact I want to have on the world. I wouldn’t be where I am without all the support from so many people so all I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. As I finish up these last two months with JSC, I am determined to make the most of it with my work, my housemates and getting to experience Durham in different ways. Cheers to two more months!
