Thank you.
At JSC we have so much to be grateful for and your continued support throughout this challenging year is at the top of the list. You supported our last cohort of wonderful servant leaders as they completed our program and entered the workforce in the midst of an economic recession. You supported our current cohort as they made the bold decision to serve others and live in intentional community during a global pandemic. You supported Christina and I as we worked to bring them together safely and reconfigure our programming for COVID-time. You supported us with your time, expertise, purchasing of pounding party items from an online wishlist, prayers, gifts, and words of encouragement. Your support has quite literally sustained us: emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Thank you so much for all that you do to support our program and the young adults who call it home for a year.
As our alumni know, we do a lot of reflecting in JSC. Corps members are frequently asked to reflect on their experiences at their partner organizations, living in community, and on what they learn in our faith formation and social justice trainings. Reflecting helps us learn more about ourselves and the things that are most important to us. The slower pace of this holiday season is giving us more time to reflect.
As you, too, reflect on this year and make decisions about year-end giving, we hope that you will consider supporting JSC. We believe we are helping nurture a generation of emerging professionals and thoughtful, discerning citizens who are making their communities more just and equitable for everyone. Your gift is vital in that work.
If you have already given, thank you. If you have not donated this year or would like to add to your gift, all contributions postmarked before January 1 will be acknowledged as 2020 gifts for tax purposes. You can mail your contribution to JSC, PO Box 21, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. You can also give online by clicking here.
However you give, whatever you give, please know that we are grateful.
Blessings of Christmas and a Healthy New Year,
