Closing out the 2017-18 Year

While the 2017-18 Johnson Service Corps Members are with us for a few more weeks, the official programming year recently finished up with dinner and the CM’s Presentations on Learning and Service. In this JSC equivalent of a capstone project, the Corps Members reflect on what they’ve learned during the year, how they have utilized the core values of communion, compassion, co-creation, collaboration, and character, and what they hope to continue developing in their lives going forward.

True to this group, their POLS reflected their unique personalities through song, poetry, story-telling, and crafting. Here are some of the photos from the evening:

About Aleta Payne

Aleta is the Executive Director of Johnson Service Corps. Before joining JSC, Aleta spent 16 years with the NC Council of Churches where she held a variety of roles, from newsletter editor to Deputy Executive Director. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in government and foreign affairs and spent much of her early career as a journalist.
